This is one of my favourite coins in my collection. What is yours ?

Vatican 5 Lire 1936 purchased from Josh.
I had send it in for slabbing but it got returned as cleaned from ATS and a nice little mark on the Reverse between the hand and the head was added free of charge.
The lighting effects are different as I was experimenting a little with the lighting but these two images show how the light fell best and they show the best detail ( imo ).
Dare I say it Roy.........I'd be interested to know how other people would grade this coin so that I can sharpen my own grading skills.
I really like the design of St Paul in the boat and the Obverse portrait is really nice too imo.

My latest avatar coin is one of my favorites from the latter.
I have a strong suspicion that the coin is a proof, and I bought it for the going UNC rate of around $10. As a proof, it'd be worth more like $100.
PS- you sent off the Vatican coin AND it came back not only bodybagged but with a fresh mark on it? Are you sure you got the same coin back?

For my favorite coin I would have to go with this Silver Piastra, circa 1684:
If medals were allowed, I'd go with this one today, 64mm 1700 Posthumous Bronze Medal:

I like the design

Auld - that is one lovely Vicky Florin!
My favorite is the one posted a few times before on these boards - 1772 Baden Thaler:

Did he have a cheek full of cotton or was he holding his breath when the portrait was designed?
<< <i>Again - great taler Roman!

All I know is that the Duke of Baden in 1772 definitely didn't have to worry about starving to death. Good thing, too, because if his cheek wasn't so full and round - perhaps there would have been more wear on the rest of the design

OK, here's the odd medal. This one is singularly the most stunning "Victorian thing" I own, except for maybe the '45 crown.
This image is such a poor, poor rendition of the real thing.
Here's an original for trozau.
Anyway, this couple of Swiss and a nice Greek set are definetely among my favourites:

I can see why that Ecu d’or a la couronne is your favorite coin
Very Nice.
Here's one of my favorites I've had for many years. It's just amazing how similar it is to a proof coin, though it predates the era of proofs by many years. It exhibits a true cameo effect and proof-like mirror surfaces. Graded by NGC as MS64, it is also an outstanding example of the screw-press mintage process: 1735 Polish Half Ducat, minted in Dresden by the elected king of Poland, Frederic August III who was also duke of Saxony. Is anyone out there willing to help this newbie figure out how to post a photo in this "favorite coin" thread? The little "insert image" icon is not showing on the menu above this reply window. Is there a different window I should be in?
I'm torn between my Griquatown token and the William IV gold...will probably share them both, if I can figure out how.
Thanks in advance.
