That was some good reading. I love the "I'm going through a divorce, I'm not thinking right" excuse. That's always convincing.

You know despite all the hooha on that thread it made me look at the VCP site and sign up for a limited membership.

Want to see how how well the watch list feature works. Some here are raving about it. I'll try and then upgrade if it works well.

Put in the 59 Topps and also Julius Erving. Found four cards that are in the PSA Master Set but not listed with VCP. Can't fault them being relatively new and having to input so many sets. Started to get e-mails about auctions within a few minutes of setting up the lists.

That thread is great. Just goes to show you, even some of the biggest deep pocketed collectors can climb trees and show their butts to the world. I emphasize the word "some." Most seem OK with the rest of us and have a great sense of humor.

I only read about 1/3 of it. Does it get good at the end? It felt like a 1000 page novel with a slow first half. It's hard to motivate yourself to find out the end.

For what it's worth, VCP is pretty good if you're looking for commonly traded PSA graded cards. I am a member and use the service fairly frequently. The owner comes off pretty bad however. I can see why he doesn't post on the boards anymore. Sometimes you have to save yourself from yourself.
