New Highs for ASE 20th Anniversary Raw Set

I was shut-out of the mint sale, don't really care for moderns yet amidst all of the hype...I bought two ASE 20th Anniversary sets 6 weeks ago for $175 apiece.

Looks like it was a good deal...

$300 per raw set barrier BUSTED

Actually, a better description would be "new highs for OPENED ASE 20th annv raw set".

Unopened ones have been above $300 before but for an opened one, this is pretty good

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Yes, you are correct. OPENED would be a better description and even that much more amazing.

  • This week, I sold my slabbed (graded all 69s) set in individual auctions for a grand total of $350.
  • Correction, $329.
  • This one looks a little strange to me.

notice it says sealed, but not unopened and tape is over shipping label, my unopened single box has no tape at all from fulfillment. be careful outthere

it does look different than the boxes i have. it woud raise flags for me, unless there were more pictures or some explanation.

it could be legit and go for les$, though too because of the poor/diff pic.
  • some 2 set sealed boxes are approaching the $775 mark ..inching up every few days image
  • the opened sets continue their gradual climb. every week it seems they get a little higher. the $300 mark is broken most of the time and sometimes they go higher. Again, i wouldn't be surprised if they were over $400 by summer.

Perhaps one reason the raw sets keep going higher is because of the number of reverse proof 70's that PCGS keeps spitting out day after day and the price they still fetch.

So, what are the individual, PCGS MS/PR 69 pieces getting?
Almost looks better as a set..... image

  • i haven't watched much of the graded sets.. but as far as i see all of the 69's sets are selling for less than the raw set ...even ngc 70's...i saw them 3-4 weeks ago selling for 1400's ...now they only get up 1100-1200(sometimes). I saw one that sold in the 900's...

ngc reverse proof 70. were selling for 700-800 before...i've seen them ended for 570.00 today... looks to me the graded sets are not doing so well...

here pcgs 69's for 299.99 just sold
