Explain the ads for the 2006 W platinums.

This ad from a recent Coin World caught my eye. It seems like all the mainstream promotion for these coins has focused on the "w" mintmark, the burnished planchet, or the increasing market value, while the reverse design is entirely ignored.
This seems to be at odds with everything that has been said by the promoters/advocates on this board. They tend to highlight the mint's increasing focus on "design rarity."
Why would large sellers of these coins ignore the design rarity and "Branches of Government Series" angle when selling the 2006 W Unc. platinums?
