Hi All, I have been detecting off and on since 1983. I currently use a Whites MXT on land and a Whites surfmaster freshwater detector in Lake Michigan. I mostly hunt in the water, unfortunatly summer is all too short in Chicago. I do a lot of Parkway and forest preserve hunting in spring and fall durring construction season. I also travel to England twice a year. If you would like to check out some of my finds my web site is-

That's a very nice pile of gold you have recovered!
I'm gonna do some beach hunting this year for my first time. Hope I'm one tenth as successful as you!

PS- I wanna go to England in the next couple of years. It's been a lifelong dream... haven't done it yet.
You are so fortunate to have had that opportunity.

Ha! That was me. Well, still is me. Yeah, I check in now and then, although I did buy a new ring. Even so, I love my old one and would pay to have it back, so keep me in mind if you find a plain 18k band (inscription inside) in or near Grant Park.
I have to say, I'm considering getting into the hobby this summer. You guys find some interesting stuff.
