Hi All, I have been detecting off and on since 1983. I currently use a Whites MXT on land and a Whites surfmaster freshwater detector in Lake Michigan. I mostly hunt in the water, unfortunatly summer is all too short in Chicago. I do a lot of Parkway and forest preserve hunting in spring and fall durring construction season. I also travel to England twice a year. If you would like to check out some of my finds my web site is-

I am also the president of the Midwest Historical Research society. The Chicago detecting club, we have about 90 members and have several planted hunts and other outings for members every year. Club web site is-

Ha! That was me. Well, still is me. Yeah, I check in now and then, although I did buy a new ring. Even so, I love my old one and would pay to have it back, so keep me in mind if you find a plain 18k band (inscription inside) in or near Grant Park.

I have to say, I'm considering getting into the hobby this summer. You guys find some interesting stuff.
