1895-S/S Barber dime- common RPM or not?

Here is an 1895-S dime that I bought last year. It has a very obvious S/S repunched mintmark. Sorry the photo doesn't show it at all, but you can most easily see it with a 5x loupe. Is this a common RPM, or something that is more difficult to find? If there are multiple rpms for this date, I can put it under the microscope and get a good photo this weekend. Thanks for any help you are able to provide.

BTW, this is a good example of a coin where the photo absolutely looks better than the coin does. It's an AU55 coin with PL surfaces, but some obverse scuffing and hairlining. You wouldn't know it from the pics, but it's something that would be BB for cleaning without a doubt.

  • I don't think that David Lawrence mentions anything about this particular RPM but maybe Kevin Flynn does in one of his books. Flynn has books out on barber quarter and half varieties, but I'm not sure if he has a book out on barber dime varieties.
