I finally finished my first set!!! Not a big deal...but nice nonetheless

It's on the 1980's Team of the Decade, but at least I can say that I finished something!! I have quite a few upgrades and would like to have a GPA of 9.0 eventually.

Regards,

Greg M.

    Congrats

That is the way to do it
    A nicely defined limit set

If I was collecting today I would do something like --All Pro team for each year etc

Something that wouldn't break the wallet and probably available each year from the manufacturers sets without EBAYING it

That is a fun set to do. I was quite excited when I finally got an Easley for it. image BTW, I assume your Easley arrived safe and sound.

I am now .06 behind you and your fancy PSA 9 Montana and Rice rc's. image

Great job. I remember how excited I was when I finished my first set, the All Time Rushers set. Then about 2 months later they added the Jim Taylor...So I managed to find one of those and get back to 100%...Then they added Motley and Van Buren. Took me another few months to get back to 100%...then they added Edge and Tiki but I already had both of them from other sets. At least with the TOD sets you know they won't increase and it's just a GPA game now. lol

    Congrats again.

The beauty of the Team of the Decade sets is that they are simple and to the point..You get to collect the rookie cards of the BEST players at each position for that decade. Covering many different years and styles of cards. Most of the cards are fairly easy to find, and only a few are what I would consider expensive...

To me those sets are all about the fun of collecting the great players...Without needing to worry about any "future" additions or changes.

The 80's and 90's sets are my favorites..50s-60s-70s are almost all HOFers already..lol
