I don't even collect Indian Head Cents, but I had to have this-

Truly a widget, but too cool to pass up for $8:

You have enough half dimes...make your own....MS64+ image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I'll make you one, was that mint state or Proof coins you wanted to use?

I'm assuming Flowing for the mint state one and Bust for the proof one.

That is certainly NOT a widget. I, and several others on this thread, would like to have one for $8 too. A widget is something available in significant quantities for a stable price. Do you know where to get even one more of those?

Nah. The 1877 pendants all just have a big hole in themimage

    Thats a nice 4c piece.

But really, that's a pretty neat little trinket of a coin.

No- actually it was the first of its kind that I have ever seen. It looks to have been made a long time ago, as the toning and seams are all one consistent color. It also may have been gold plated at one point in time, because there looks to be reminants of gold on some of the fields of the coins. I couldn't even begin to speculate how it was made- but whoever made it was a master craftsman IMO.

I will not buy one because I am pretty sure that it would bag at PCGS.

If they didn't bag it, how would they fit it into a slab? imageimage

It's definitely different; kind of like those pop-out coins (what'da'ya'call'em?) where the coin subject's face comes outta the coin, 3-D-like. I believe they had a set up for sale on the recent Goldberg auction, and I saw some on a dealer's table in Long Beach also.
I never thought that growing old would happen so fast.

  • I didn't know there would be as much interest in this thing as there has been. Perhaps I should put it on BST?
