1959 silver penny on ebay update

I'm back for the attack. I'm on my 4th beer and got 20 minutes to kill, so let's get a little more feedback on this one. I reported my own listing to ebay for possible listing violations, but not until after someone on here did first, and it's still up and running strong at 570 viewers plus 20 watchers, hopefully, potential buyers. It's been over 3 days since the reporting and I have yet to hear from ebay. I told yall I wasn't violating any policies. If there is a "LUCKY" winner in this auction, and he or she decides to pay with paypal, he or she will also be agreeing to pay paypal's fees. Those fees go to paypal, not to me. So what's the verdict going to be on this one?

a) lives about 2 miles outside Boston, and
b) happens to LOVE ATHF...if they showed the pics of the 'bombs' at 11am that day, I could have had the mystery solved before they shut the city down and made all of Boston emit a collective fart but NOOOOO...they dont show what they are, so all hell breaks loose!
I do hope that Fread or Errormaven chime in... Smoehow the scale of Lincoln's portrait seems off for a dime sized planchet. OTOH, nothing seems in violation of Ebay rules (not that I'm any expert), just an "error" coin of dubious validity and value. So?

Also, on my ebay listing photos, I show some angle shot to specifically show the thickness of the coin. Good idea?, or No?
But I suppose that could just be the pictures.
Speakin' of colors, the red fonts are kind of annoying.
Interesting item.
What's this about a metal detector? Is there something about a metal detector buried in that longwinded, rambling, multicolored text?
That would be an interesting test to use- the DFX presumably has different VDI numbers for a silver dime and a cent. However, it wouldn't be conclusive, I don't think, since most detectors, my top-of-the-line Garrett included, cannot tell the difference between a copper cent and a silver dime 100% of the time. (MOST of the time, yeah, but...)
If you weighed it and measured the diameter, I suppose that is a little more conclusive, and I would have to take your word for it.
I wouldn't spend $500 on such a thing, though, unless it were slabbed by one of the top three services. (Assuming I dealt with error coins at all, which I don't.)
So you are on the warpath because somebody reported you to eBay for some violation? What was this supposed violation?
Never mind. I suppose I should read your description, but it's such a chore. I usually hit the "back" button the minute I see multicolored fonts, animated gifs, or mile-long descriptions. Show me some good pictures, and gimme just the basic facts, is how I usually shop. I think most folks are like me in that regard.

Showing the thickness is a good idea, of course. People are gonna want to know that.
You should put more details in the listing.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

The ebay folks probably had to restart reading that description a few times....I tried but gave up. Too hard to read, too many spelling errors, etc.
Style of the auction would instantly make it a "skip over" as well as the (mispelled) portion about "you leave me possitive (spelling) feedback then I will leave you feedback". A little extortion to kick things off, eh?
Run it the way you want (which you are) but it defintely doesn't look "silver" and it doesn't look like an auction to bid on.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

For a South Carolina Man, what higher expectations are ther to expect? Especially after being under the influence.

I've tried, Not enough room.
<< <i>So what's the verdict going to be on this one? >>
I think you don't really care what any of us think. It's all been said, and it made no difference. Enjoy your beer.

Lightweight.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
but it appears to be cleaned, with
lots of hairlines.
I just sold on Ebay (an hour ago)
a cleaned 1961-D Cent on Silver
Dime planchet. It sold for $225,
which was a cheap price, imo.
Good luck with your 1959

Man.....that really did hurt my eyes. Regarding the auction in question, it usually takes a few days before eBay pulls the auction. It goes to an outside review panel. It will get pulled.

Really? I didn't know it goes to an outside review panel.....that is interesting news in itself. Thanks Dennis.
