How has this forum affected your coin buying question #6

This should be added to MrEurekas questions.

How much has this Forum affected your sending coins in to PCGS to get graded?

Did you have a Registry set before joining the Forum?

I starting sending coins to PCGS after joining the forum and then started my Registry set. I had never used a TPG service until then.

  • I did not have a registry set before joining the forum. I have started one since I joined the forum.
  • I have basically started my registry sets the same time I started on the boards.

I wouldnt own either of these coins if it were not for the forum... both were bought from the mint.

I probably send in more coins as a result of this forum. The way I see it, this forum creates demand for PCGS coins, and my job is to feed the demand.

  • No i didn't have a registry before, now i have 2. However since we're holding our coins for a long time we aren't crossing over coins for registry alone. However when/if we do sell the coins we'll go all PCGS, KoooooLaaidddddE! image

My "sets" were pretty much complete when the registries came along.

I had a preference for PCGS before the forum.

None at all, and I still don't have a registry set. I have never sent in a coin for certification, nor will I in the future. I have de-certified a bunch of them, though.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

I came to these forums as a result of my Registry sets.

I've since abandoned Registry collecting, but it was fun while it lasted.

    I just stayed on. image
