I am new to this and I hit enter before I was ready and it posted. Hopefully I can edit this.
Have been colecting for 20+yrs but just got a camera (nikon D80 with 105mm ) I know a lot about coins but very little about computers.

My main interest is in bust halves but will buy anything that looks nice.
This is an interesting half dime with some interesting things going on. anyone care to guess the grade

Still practicing taking and loading photos.
hope you guys don't mind if I post a few more. I have hundreds of coins to photo and look forward to showing some off and getting opinions.
The dime pics may be fuzzy, still practicing taking them through the plastic. Nice purple coin that matches the half dime.

The 1806/5 I picked up raw about ayear ago, came out of an old type set along with a great 1800 dollar

I have also tried to post a pic of my favorite morgan an 1883cc in government holder, I always see you guys discussing AT vs NT so I thought you would like this It has an amazing rainbow which I could show if I could figure out how to get bigger pictures uploaded. I believe this coin was Artificially toned while sitting in a canvas sack in a damp vault for about 80 yrs (HaHa).

    nice picture goldbully.
Name comes from me starting my working career as a marine biologist and then going to dental school and becomming a dentist. The marine biology was much more fun but didn't allow much for buying coins.
This coin is in a pcgs MS 60 holder labeled as an error Strikethru and also listed as a repunced date, would be obvious if I could figure out how to post a bigger picture. There is hardly a mark on the coin and it is beautiful in hand, I think my mistake was sending it to PCGS in a PCI AU58 holder, the coin is really a 63 plus in hand, but I was afraid PCGS would not slab it due to the strikethru

I believe the die marriage of your half dime is the 1837 V1. I also think it's an early die state coin which would explain the date doubling you mention. The EDS coins of this marriage all had doubling of the date, most prominently seen at the bottom of the numerals. As the die wore down from continued use this double disapeared. The doubling of the date on this coin is not something I'd consider a classic error but more of a variety diagnostic.

I don't know a whole lot about errors so I can't really comment on whether or not that blob on the bottom revers is a strike through or not.

I can tell you that you've got one of the single most eye appealing 1837 Seated Half Dimes I've ever seen and should be proud to own it. Excellent coin sir!
