Should I rip or not?

I have several 1979 Topps hockey packs in decent shape that I am going to send in for grading. I have one pack that has a torn corner lower left and the gum is broken up in the pack sliding all over the place and sometimes laying two or 3 small pieces thick. This would not receive a good grade from PSA but at least it would be graded. The question is should I open the pack, sell the pack ungraded on ebay, or sned in for grading and then sell on ebay?
Rip or not?
Thanks,
Bob

rip
If not visible, or if they have taken a beating along with the wrapper - I'd say grade the pack.

<< <i>Well, maybe I will do a live rip on Friday night around 10:00.............. >>
Well, some of us will be attending the Houston Livestock Show BBQ World Championship Competition. All you can eat and all you can drink. It's gluttony at it's finest.
Anywhoo, why rip later when you can rip now

Hey, I saw a program about this annual event on the food channel. Unbelievable. My mouth was watering the entire time!

I saw the same thing but to be honest, what you saw on TV doesn't do it justice.
They circumvent FDA regulations by making this a "private party" (ie if you get food posioning, sucks to be you). You can only eat and drink at tents in which you have a ticket/armband. Oh, the smells of slowly cooked brisket, beef/pork ribs, sausuage, and lots and lots and lots and lots of alchohol. I have passes to 4 tents but by the end of the evening, I'll probably visit 10 of them. You see friends hanging around or just talk with the doorman; no money is EVER exchanged.
Good times
