2000 Bowman Chrome Gold Refractors?

I noticed that there are some "Gold Refractors" that have been graded in baseball, however, from what I've seen on Ebay, they look identical to regular refractors. What's the difference?

I found a box of 2000 Bowman Chrome baseball for sale at Dave & Adam's, but "Bowman Chrome Gold" is not listed as one of the parallel sets.

  • Bowman Chrome Gold refractors and Refractors are the same thing in the 2000 set. The 'Gold' Refractors got named that because they have a gold signature. There is a retro/future parallel that has tough odds...

Edit to add: Your odds are really good on pulling the refractors in those boxes. I've always ended up getting 6+ refractors in a 24 ct box. Considering the rookie pitchers in that set (Zambrano, Zito, Sheets, Oswalt), there's a lot of potential...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

An auction just ended for a PSA 9 "Gold Refractor" Zito, and I contemplated tossing in a bid, as I don't have a Zito rookie yet. I figured, since I need his rookie for my CY Young Award registry set, I might as well get a refractor while I'm at it if the price is right. The card sold for $36, and after a little more looking, I kinda kicked myself for not sniping it, as Zambrano refractors seem to be selling for $70+ raw.

I'm a Ben Sheets collector, and those 2000 Bowman refractors are very tough to find, as are the Retro/Future refractors.
