    image Yea, Good looking out!!!
  • I'm a little nervous about the back end of the Jays starting rotation. John Thomson, Gustavo Chacin, and Toma Okha won't strike fear into too many hitters. Our middle relief scares me as well. Justin Speier was a great set-up guy. We're relying on Brandon League and a bunch of situational hurlers to get to B.J. Ryan. But Halladay and Burnett can both be dominant starters and B.J. Ryan was unbelievable last year. He didn't let up an earned run until June. The offense should also be a strength. Overbay (.300 avg, 90 RBIs hitting sixth, Rios - potential 25 HR guy hitting seventh). The team speed is a bit of a concern. Two of the slowest guys in baseball in Thomas and Glaus hitting back-to-back scares me a little. But as long as they stay healthy, they should put up big numbers. Buy, hey at least Bengie Molina is gone. That guy redefines slow. In Spring Training last year, I saw him hit a ball over the CF's head that two or three hopped the wall and Molina still only got a single.

I'm an eternal optimist. It's going to be tough this year. Boston's starting rotation scares me, but having Pineiro as a closer might hurt them. The Yankees always scare me. Their lineup is intimidating. It will be interesting to see how Pavano pans out. Apparently, he had to sit out a throwing session the other day because he had "heavy legs." Never heard of that before.

Sig line bet with Cards fans?
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I don't recall seeing or hearing any friction between Jeter and Rodriquez. As a mater of fact, Jeter assisted in recruiting Rodriquez to the Yanks. This is a non issue.
