Vizio...Anyone have one?

Does anyone have a Vizio Tv? They seem like a good deal, but I just want to be sure the quality is up to par.

Anyone have any feedback?

I looked at them at COSTCO.

There is lots of buzz about them, and they are priced very
    reasonably.

But, if it does not say SONY on the front, I do not buy it.

  • nope. good prices. depends on what you need. I have a a Samsung (DLP) and Panasonic (Plasma). Both are great but I needed 1080p and more than one HDMI output.

I have a Samsung DLP and am looking for a 32-40in for the bedroom. The $599 price tag on the 37in Vizio looks really good, but I just don't want to blow 6 bills if this thing sucks.

    Buy it at COSTCO.

If you hate it, take it back and they will credit your account.

The low-price scares alot of people I think, but the reviews
    are good in the magazines.

  • Fairly reliable Vizio reviews are here:

I've sat in front of their 50" plasma at a friend's house, and I liked it. The TVs at Sams/Costco are almost always badly adjusted (too bright, colors artificially vivid, etc.), so it is hard to get a good idea of the picture quality without being knowledgeable and adjusting them yourself in the store. Of course, they often also have a standard definition signal coming into the TVs from a DVD, or even a "full" screen signal (old style 4:3 TV, not widescreen), which defeats the purpose of viewing it on a widescreen high definition TV. I'd just check the return policy and give it a try if you're happy. I'm putting two Vizio TVs into an occasional use condo. They are not high-end, but about average (or slightly higher) quality for below average cost.
