Any good dealers in San Antonio?

I will be going to San Antonio in June with my wife. She will be in conferences all day and I will be on my own to explore. I am hoping someone might be able to tell me if there are any coin shops around the Sheritan Hotel on Houston Street. Hopefully within walking distance. Thanks.

Alamo Heights Coin Shop - mostly raw coins - owner is a great guy, can't remember his name right now.
Lone Star Coins - nice selection of raw and some slabbed coins - good guys
There are several others around town too. These were always my favorites though. These would not be within walking distance though.

I think Royalty Coins @ 425 E Commerce might be within walking distance. I never could make a deal with them though so I couldn't really recommend them.

I've actually bought from all 3 mentioned above. The closest (Royalty) is the guys that I bought a nice Texas Commem from, although I've never been to their shop as I got the coin at a show.

    Have fun.

RichardShipp is right -- Royalty Coins is the only one within walking distance. It is right near the Riverwalk, so it should be easy to find. The shop has a very small retail area, don't plan on spending hours there!

I lived in San Antonio from 1999-2002.

Alamo Heights Coin Shop. His wife was a teacher at my kid's school. Mainly raw, big bins of 2x2s, some decent materials but not much. If you like WWII uniform insignia, talk to the guy with the long grey pony tail.

Lone Star. Better material and greater selection of slabbed material. I think one of the owners was the discoverer of a major Buffalo Nickel variety. (BTW, they moved location from where they were several years back.)

Lone Star. Shop is right by the ALamo. I never made it in as everytime I was there it was closed. I did buy a nice MS65 Peace dollar from them at a show. At the show they certainly had hundred of PCGS/NGC coins.

Richard Medina used to be the owner of Lone Star, but recently (last year?) sold the shop. He indeed is an "error guy" and discovered one of the Buffalo Nickel varieties.

I think instead of Lone Star the second time you meant to say "Royalty Coins"

Royalty coins is right on the corner of Market and the Riverwalk. You can see their sign on the building down by the river itself... hard to miss.
Alamo Heights is on Austin Hwy/TX Rte 368, inside loop (Interstate) 410, but outside of walking distance. You'll need a car.

Another good one is Dellview Coins. They used to be on Fredericksburg Rd, but moved over to HWY 281 North out past the San Antonio International Airport. North of I-410 on the west side of HWY 281. Last time I was there was June '04, but he had a good selection of raw & slabbed type stuff.

    Indeed I meant Royalty.

Did Lone Star re-name to Dellview??

I live in SA now and never heard of DellView. Lonestar is still Lonestar...on US 281 South.
