Need an opinion on this card and seller

I have been watching this card and I'm not quite sure about it. The seller has bought and sold some high dollar stuff but some of it was Pro graded. I am looking for opinions from the board experts. That's a lot of dough for a lowly miliary guy so I would like to get it right.

I would prefer to get one slabbed.

Guess I"m jaded, but at this point I wouldn't shell out that kind of money for a raw card on ebay from a seller that didn't have a really strong reputation in the hobby and didn't provide a decent scan. This guy might be good, but IMO it's not worth the risk. He's only been on ebay about 8 months and already has a neg and 2 neutrals.
If it was me I'd pass.

If a card like that isn't in a PSA holder, there's usually a very good reason why. Rest easy and buy yourself one already graded; you'll be glad you did.

Personally, I'd buy one that's slabbed. The odds of a raw example having a surface wrinkle, soft corner or other defect not visible in a scan is *very* high. This one will go higher than it's current, bid, I'm sure. I'd rather have won this one for the same price.

I'd hold off and find a nice looking PSA 5, as you'll be much more confident with the card and it'll be easier to sell should you ever do so.

He either doesn't have a lot of grading experience or he isn't honest. Perfect edges = obvious rubber band marks on both side edges, and the stain on the back is bad enough to get the ST qualifier.

Like everybody else says, get one already graded. Pass on this one.

i dont know the seller. i do know that the rose rookie was a very heavily counterfeited card. pretty good counterfeits to boot. i certainly suggest only buying one from a reputable tpg.
  • My better judgement told me what you all have said. I concur with the opinions on this thread. I'm letting my emotion over rule my better judgement and fog my veiw of this card. Thanks all.
