1902 Proof Indian Head Cent (Heritage Photo Comparison)

BECOKABECOKA Posts: 16,961 ✭✭✭
I received this nice proof coin about a month ago and finally took a quick snap shot. Here is a comparison of my quick shot to Heritage's online photo.

The question is do you think that Heritage purposefully tried to make this more red than it actually is? My shot is pretty close to what it looks like in hand.

I think Heritage is lucky enough to get a picture up let alone mess with it till it looks better.

Their picture looks washed out to me. If it wasn't flash induced I'd say it was messed with. But hey that's me.
    Prost!

Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

I must concur. Usually their pictures look 10x that bad.

I don't believe Heritage generally gives any thought to how a coin appears in their auctions.

True, it is graded as RD but the Heritage image is so far skewed or at least washed out. If I was the seller of the coin I am not sure which photo I would like better. I think as a buyer I would prefer the more realistic one which was pretty easy to get.
