Does anyone remember when Shop at Home hyped up Tiger Woods cards and Jordan "college rookies&q
1997 Tiger Woods (rookie?) card
Michael Jordan college rookies (oh wait, they're not...)
Now, most of you in this congregation are in agreement that Shop at Home is basically a joke as far as their Sports Collectibles show is concerned (especially during the Don West era), but these two items, IMO were the biggest jokes of all. The Tiger Woods card from the getgo, I thought was a huge laugh. I mean, c'mon, have you ever heard of anyone collecting GOLF cards?
As for the so-called MJ "college rookies", what I didn't realize at first was that those "college rookies" were actually made in 1989, so they most definetly were not any kind of "rookies".
And lastly, does anyone remember that show where they were selling a 1989 Topps Traded Griffey in PSA 8 (at least back then they did use reputable grading services most of the time) and were going on and on in the price guide about how much a PSA 9 goes for? And then one of them said, "oh, I beg your pardon, it's an 8, not a 9". Sure...

Actually, the foil ones were made for Titleist and came with a binder. The way to tell the sheet ones is the color of Tigers shirt, and the gold border around the picture. On the reprinted sheets, the color is not as bold. If you hold a set one beside a sheet cut one you can see the difference.
And, ya can have this one for a mere 4K!!!!!!!!!! It's a Gem Mint 10!!! Perfect! By Pro - a name you can trust!

That's what I meant by foil, the gold foil.
