Kind of OT but it's about the US Coin Forum

I had a idea about how YN's can be identified on the forums so people know they are YN's when they reply to them.
You know under your icon how it says stuff like "Member", "Collector", "Master Collector", "Veteran", and stuff like that? How about if YN's have "YN" or "Young Numismatist" under their icon?
Just a idea I had this morning. Who would I suggest it to?
Thanks

One possible pitfall is that it might reopen the argument about who is a YN, how do we define them, etc. Some forum members have surprisingly strong feelings about this point.

Thanks!
I guess CU could set a age they think YN's should be and then everybody would have to live with it.
I also thought, when a YN grows up and gets to the age CU sets, they have to tell CU and then they get the "Member", "Veteran", "Master Collector", titles depending on the number of their posts like everyone else does.

I do like your idea, but it may be hard to police.

I agree it should be an individual decision. We should all be aware that this is not an appropriate place for bad language and behavior that would be considered offensive for a large number of the general population. It could actually backfire to identify younger or otherwise more impressionable or sensitive individuals.
highlite them for wierdoes that might float thru the Forum. Those of us

I have to agree with Bear on this. Samuel, you are thinking in the right lines, and in a good way, but those of us that are older and coarser know that there are some that would love to just bash on people, or worse, and think that having a YN plastered on you would be like a bullseye for them.
Better to just be who you are, not worry about labels, and let people figure it out (or not).

I don't know the answer to your question. There are pros and cons.
I posted to your thread to tell you that I read my Centinel last night(just got home from Florida) and really enjoyed your article regarding the "Cheerios" Sacs and Lincolns. I must admit that I did not know very much about them.
Congrats on your fine article.
