Question about BB from PCGS

I recently submitted an Ike 1972 T1 for grading and it came back in a BB for planchet flaw. Can I resubmit under error coins and get a grade?

The coin has a strike though on the neck of the portrait.

Any thoughts from the experts.

Yes, I think if its only problem is a planchet flaw, going through their error service is the way to go.

Yes, that was the reason (planchet flaw) for the BB... Here is the picture.

Why didn't they slab it under the error side before they sent it back? I know your going to tell me it costs more, thats why we put our phone number on the submission form... Now we need to resubmit (Thus give them more money) to get one of their slabs....

It seems silly to me too to send it back just so you can send it back to them again to go to a different grading room...

Me too, I would call and complain until you get a complimentary grading for your trouble. It seems silly to grade it and BB instead of call you and say it is an error coin, can we charge you an extra X to finish grading it.

My thoughts, I sent it in when the top graders and managers would be at the Long Beach show. My mistake. I have talked to PCGS many times ( in the past) about my coins I send in, this time no call. Just the email that it was BB.

Maybe someone from PCGS will read this thread and think about the situation.

Come on Carol and David, what's up with this coin. Another $30 to have it graded???? Why no call??????
