Why is their no 1882 Mint Set?

What am I missing? Besides the set.

Why or how come their is no 1882 set?

I've done Q & A with Ron and David, but they never got back to me.

Any ideas? Or Clues?

Thanks JD

PCGS is planning on doing every year for proof and mint sets as long as there was a coin minted for those years. Personally I can't wait to see the 1796 Mint set with Gold. This one should be a fan favorite.

The set Registry will never be done.

Maybe because there were no mint sets in 82/83. But that should not stop someone from making a set minted for those two years.

He means 1882! Pcgs is just slow on putting the sets up. There's still no Lincoln Wheat Cent short set! How many years ago did they say they would make one?

And if anyone's wondering, the reason the mint didn't make mint sets in 1982 and 1983 was because the coin market was in a depression.

That one should be easy to assemble as it would require only one coin....a Large Cent...........but knowing how well trained your eye is, I am betting that it is an exteremely attractive 1816 Large Cent..... image

You are correct sir. My coin is MS64BN, and average for the grade.

Nice to see you around, Tom. Hope all is well.
