FSH 2001 1/10oz unc gold eagle

PENDING __

I have a 2001 1/10oz unc gold eagle from my type set that got replaced so if anyones interested i'll take $78.00 shipped/insured for it. If you want pics i'll try and get some but it looks like any other 1/10oz bullion coin.

Comments

  • When you say it got replaced. What does that mean. Was there someting wrong with it???? Was it replaced for a higher grade coin??? If so what grade is it now????? In other words tou make it sound like there is something wrong with it so you replaced it. Why????

  • It's fine i just got a 1/4oz piece so i don't need the 1/10th anymore because i really only want 1 gold eagle for the type set. As far as grade it's somewhere between 68-70 just like the rest of moderns made for collecting, i don't want to put a # grade on it because i can't tell the diffence between 68's and 69's. Theres no spots or marks on it, i just got a bigger one and this ones been collecting dust now for a bit.

Does anyone know this guy? I bought this coin and we had some correspondence but I have yet to receive the coin. How should I proceed?
The board's thoughts would very much be appreciated.

  • report it to PCGS and keep the thread opened until you receive the coin. at least his business in the forums and 100's will become aware of your problem with the seller. we need to rid ourselves from sellers like this.

tg, mb has been around for a long time. I don't personally know him, nor do I recall ever doing any business with him, but hope he makes it good.

I had good communication at first. Hopefully everything is fine with him. He has been a member a long time. I am willing to give the benefit of doubt. I just want the coin.

I guess MBBIKER is going to stiff me. Beware of seller. PCGS staff will be notified.

Although one month is a long time, could there be something going on with him (health)?

Looks like the last time he was on the forum was about 2 weeks ago. If I were you, I would
post this one the US Coin Forum, it may get more attention. That certainly helped me to collect
a debt (of over $1,000) from a deal gone awry, but that went on for 11 months, not 1 month.

Can't believe someone would ruin their reputation for $78.
Not that they should for a higher priced coin either, but for $78!

ghh101, have you tried his email?
Maybe you can contact the coin club listed, they should know something about his where-a-bouts.

Also, nederveit, were you 'made whole' by the member (dealer), or the dealer's friend (also a coin dealer)?

I was made whole by the dealer's friend, Augie.

Good sugggestions, and have you tried to call him? I think there are
folks in the area that might know him or be able to contact him as well,
the reason I recommended the US Coin Forum.
