Yearbooks

Anyone collect team yearbooks?

I have mostly Mets and Yankees yearbooks early 80's through 90's. I'll post some scans later just want to see if people are interested or collect them.

I WILL POST SCAN SOON, MY SCANNER IS STILL SCANNING ITEMS FOR eBay CURRENTLY. Look in the morning or afternoon and I'll bump this topic up.

ALSO, I DO HAVE TEAM CALENDARS and MAGS as well.

    No

But I would like to see your scans.

I do collect some WS programs tho.

I would like to pick up a 55 Dodgers and Yanks yearbook.

edit: I just remembered - I do have a 78 Yankee's yearbook somewhere - it has cards in it.

Also - I do have this pub - but I don't know what it is?

I collect Packers yearbooks, my favorite is a 1962 autographed by lombardi and starr. Too bad he didn't have a sharpie with him.

This isn't a yearbook but it was a great find for a dizzy dean fan like me image

Somewhere I have an extra 1978 NLCS yearbook from the Dodgers, I think they played the Phillies that year for the right to lose to the Yankees.

  • great items for autographs! Under-appreciated collectibles, especially vintage stuff in nice condition. I collect programs and yearbooks, especially celtics and red sox.
  • ooops...always mess that loggging in thingimage
I don't think this is what you had in mind, but I have some pretty cool college yearbooks...
1939 Duke...the year they went undefeated....and un-scored upon. Lost in the Rose Bowl 7-3 on a late TD
1916 Texas A&M yearbook that has pictures and write-up of the famous BEVO game again UT. 13-0

Speaking of yearbooks (a different type of yearbook)

Cal Ripken Jr. 1978 High School Yearbook

In my opinion, buying that book would almost be crossing the line between fan, and stalker.

That Cal Ripken yearbook is very cool! I especially like the fact that he's referred to as "Calvin Ripken" throughout. It must have been a thrill to play with a guy that winds up as famous and as much as an American icon as "The Iron Man" himself. I wonder if the people around him at that stage knew he'd turn out to be such a superstar.

They are certainly under appreciated and under valued collectibles in top condition.

I had several high end Yankees yearbooks from the late early 60's and sold them off in one shot to a collected for a nice profit a couple of years ago when I needed fast $$.

I still regret getting rid of a few of them that were in mint condition.

jimq112, that Packers book is really nice image

I don't know if this counts, but I have completed 1982-1990 Topps baseball sticker yearbooks (the 1984 is one short though). Just need to find a nice 1981 yearbook with all the stickers neatly placed inside.
