forum nickname

how can i change my nickname on this forum to LDFerg rather than ldferg? several people get the lower case "l" mixed up with an upper case "I".

I would guess that you'd have to create a whole new ID to change it. Your best shot would be to work with CU Customer Service. It seems like someone, not too long ago, forgot their password and had to come up with a new ID -- even after working with CU's CS.

I hope someone can prove me wrong!

If it doesn't matter, contact CS and create a new alias.

I can't see why CU can't "edit" your name - why not email them and ask?

here is my question, what decides the "title" under you name. I see some "collectors" with more posts than "expert collectors" so it cant just go by number of posts. Not to mention the random names that are applied to some peeps. Whats the secret?

I heard if you ask they will change your title. In my case I never asked and it just happened.

I believe it's a function of the number of posts you have...or to pay pandrews the money up front...

It is based off of number of posts from what I have been able to tell. After 10,000 posts, I believe you get to choose your own title.

never thought of that...

you only need around 8200 more posts to be able to change your title!
