EBAY: Unopened packs with stars on front and back

Ever seen one of these?

This seller has had several unopened cello packs in the past month like this with the exact same Nolan Ryan card on the front and back of the pack.

What the heck are the odds???? I've never even seen a common player with one of these! How reliable is GAI? Not crying foul here, but these are some true 1/1's, eh???

    Nice cellos. I have pulled a cello from a case with a star on top and bottom. Pretty rare. In a 8 box cello case of 89 Fleer I find out of 192 packs around 4 packs with stars on top.

    I know a guy who says he has a Ripken FF on top and bottom of a cello pack. I have also seen some 87 Topps with Bonds on top and bottom and same for Palmerio.

    GAI- whats sad is their inability to make notes longer on the flip. It should include Yount B on flip as well. Thats pretty significant. I have had similar situations with space limitations on my GAI flips.

    It always seems to be cello packs with stars on top and bottom...seems too rare to have that many. I dont seem to see rack pack with that same luck.

    Probstein is a very reliable seller and has some good stuff. He has had a lot of nice GAI packs. A while back he won a 82 Fleer cello GAI 10 with Ripken on the back and front. He won with a last minute bid of like $900 something. If I had the funds I would have liked to have it

    Rick Probstein has some incredible stuff!! He's a great guy and we have done some business back and fourth. He's totally legit and has some great stuff.

    You know those guys that were socking away hoards of cards in the 80's and 90's....he's one of them!! He just doesn't go out an toot his own horn like alot of others guys...(cough..cough...Mr. Mint....cough cough..)

    Items like that are really cool.

    If the card was also centered T/B - the bidding might go way higher.

    Rick Probstein is definately one of the best out there. I know he has a few 74 racks and cellos with Winfield on the top and some 75's with Brett on the top and Yount on the bottom. The guy just keeps pulling more and more stuff out of his inventory that never ceases to amaze....

    yeah, been watching his auctions for a month now just to see what other cool stuff will pop up!! can't afford any of it, but it's fun! I don't question his legitimacy....heck, anyone with 2500 100% feedback has me all eyes, ears and confidence!

    I agree.Rick is very honest.I have dealt with him before.And when I see his packs ,I feel as confident as if I pulled it myself.
