I am up to 48 straight snow days here in St. Louis. But I consider snow days as days that I cannot golf.

its inner strength. i will take this weather over 95 and humid any day. its easier to warm up than cool down. even when its cold a quick dash from the car isnt that bad. but when its hot, you leave your car and you start to sweat instantly, you get inside and you still are hot for awhile. they you have to go back to your car again.

4 inches of ice here in Boston yesterday and it was back to work today. I hate this impression that we're so seasoned to the bad weather - I hate the cold and wish I could've stayed home today!

I will start teaching in the next year. What subject do you teach?
  • I'm doing my student teaching in Northeast Ohio. We were cancelled 4 out of 5 days due to cold last week, and if tomorrow gets called, that will be 4 out of 5 this week as well. 16 inches of snow has made for a lot of shoveling lately.

It's too cold in San Antonio!

    Right now it's 40 degrees!

    I'm freeeeeeeeeezing!

This seems to be the coldest winter in 10 years!

    American History (1877-present)

Minnesota was pretty fun as a little kid and teenager. You got used to the cold. 10 to 15 below zero . . . we still went to school. Gave us something to do. Put the skates, stick, and puck in the locker, or the back of the classroom, and skated after school . . . til dinner. Then after dinner.

It's a way of looking and that thermometer, and saying, "Hey, Bud, let's party."

Yes I heard that you guys in the DC area close shop when you get 2" of snow.image Come up to Michigan where we get some real snow!!
  • Two inches? On Tuesday, we had an eighth of an inch . . . no lie. No ice, either. Completely paralyzed the region.

As stated, Minnesota winters of my youth kind of exposed me to "real" winters.

The snow isn't what messed me up, it was the icing that occured(It iced for give or take 20 hours). Snow? Come on now. I just hate the stuff when it messes with me. So I'm moving to San Diego this upcoming fall.
