Actually, in most cases the worst feeling is when the grades do avail themselves, and you get to start wondering what you're going to do with all of these crappy $2 cards. At least up to that point you can still dare to dream.

No way. The worst feeling is in mid-stretch having someone mess with you. Trust me, I lived in a frat house for well until we got evicted. It was a running joke that whoever was stretching either was tackled full force, punched, or in some way disturbed none to nicely.

Nope What makes it worse, is the fact that the card is an auto card he gave out to kids that attended a football camp of his back in 1993-94. It wasnt available to the public. I was watching ebay for a while and have only seen two. The first one I bought was a dog. I just had it authenticated. The one I "killed" was definite 9 maybe a 10. Its now an 8 if I got it graded. The grade wouldnt bother me but the stab mark right in the middle of the upper edge does

the worst is when you get a card that has been wrapped in tons of tape attached to card board. i always fear what happened to matt. thank god i havent had the same experinece. god knows i have had many a close call. scotch tape on the holder is easy to deal with. its the clear packing tape that requires a knife..
