Well, standards were different in the 1st Century BC, I reckon.
Besides, who knows how accurate the coin engraving is?
Probably pretty close, but a somewhat unflattering portrait, nonetheless.
Here she is in statuary.

Maybe the engraved didn't like her... maybe it was of her mother, or ugly step sister? ;-)
