Are the Pres. dollars available at banks today?

I got one...coin! All the rolls were gone from the one bank out of four I stopped at on the way home that actually had them in stock today.

started out early today to hunt down the prez $'s - went to two banks (Madison, WI) - asked the tellers and they gave me blank looks like I was from outerspace asking for the new coin from the U.S. Mint. I'm saying to myself the Mint needs to hire a new PR person - so I got smart and started calling around and finally found a bank (US Bank) that had them - went to the bank and puchased a few D rolls (didnt have P rolls) - the teller stated that the coins were going out the window fast - wished I had more money or I would have gotten more - but they wanted hard cash in exchange - on inspection of the 5 loose dollars I bought, I wasnt very impressed with the quality - lots of scratches and I guess bagmarks on coins that havent been in circulation - wondering what that is all about?? - anyway glad I got a few and will now start looking for the P rolls tomorrow - jimac
