Adding cards to the player registry

Do you have to already have a copy of the card graded in order to submit a request? There are a ton of cards that I want to add to the Dempsey Master set but I haven't had them graded yet.

With the wait for them to go through I thought I'd try and get them in as soon as possible.

I've added cards to my regisrty sets before I actually had them by adding the cert #'s that I knew already existed. It was a slight of hand but I knew I was getting the cards graded but had not received them back yet. I really wanted to make sure that when the big show was ready to go off my little cards would be represented. Find some matching certs then submit.

Hmmm .... hadn't thought of that. Would that be considered unethical?

Also, a lot of the stuff I'll be adding doesn't have a PSA graded example currently. So you make addition requests via cert #'s?

you have to have cet#'s so they can add the cards. they wont add cards that havent been graded yet. i see nothing wrong with using a cert# you dont own to request that the card be added to the set. as long as you dont use that number to add the card to your personal set. you dont have to use the same cert# that was used for requesting the set, to add to your set later.
