Trivia...What was the First card to Have Stats on Back? Answer...

I believe the answer is.................the 1911 T201 Mecca Double Folders.....
First issue to have stats AND an image on the back.....
Traditionally "Cigarette Cards" are defined as a 19th Century Mounted Photograph" as the front picture was sold to many companies who glued it onto their own backing...thus the numerous variations of certain cards with the same front image....
However the T201 were designed with the back in mind...a very innovative feature in that the back and front images share the same legs.....these cards are Color halftone Reliefs, which at the time, was a new method to produce images...these oversize cards were meant to look like Watercolor Paintings and i think they did a wonderful artistic rendition...The pleasing subject colors and background imagery create a three dimensional affect in such a simple way......Amazing for almost 100 years old.....
They reverse includes not only the hitting and pitching stats, but also player's fielding stats.....Another interesting note: the Walter Johnsons card says he went 25-17-1....thats right, a tie!
Here are some raw examples i will be sending in to PSA.....

In fact, a beat up old T201 was my first ever pre-war card.
The snowflake that started the snowball:
Oops, maybe I shouldn't let the cat out of the bag until I finish my set. Never mind, nothing to see here......
Seems like I saw a bunch that's on Ebay right now. Seems like the seller's name is "shanehardy".

Looks like a shady seller....
Just kidding - I just checked them out and there's a couple of nice ones which I need there; thanks for the tip!

yes, they do sell under SMR sometimes....not sure why....
i think there is room to run for this set...the only "bigtime" collector of these is Don Spence....no other "bigtime" collectors have found this set yet....
being its only 50 cards, makes it very attainable....
not to mention there are about 20 HOF cards such as CoBB, Mathewson, Walter Johnson, Speaker, Bender, Lajoie and others...
Maybe because i collect art, is the reason i am drawn to this set...Very artistic, not high detail, but what watercolor masterpiece has detail?
