Do the graders automatically check for PL and DPL surfaces on Morgan dollars or does the submitter have to ask for this designation if the coin qualifies?

    Hi Tennessee Dave,

    The graders make those determinations automatically as they grade the coins. The same can be said for any prefix (MS, PR, PL, etc) or suffix (BN, RB, RD, CA, PL, FS, FB, FBL, etc).
