A little spam, but a cool opportunity- case fresh 75 FB racks.....

Hi guys,
This is sort of cross-posted, but I figured there'd be a few here that might be interested. My apologies if this is over the line in terms of forum etiquette.

I just bought a case fresh box of 1975 Topps racks from Steve Hart at BBCExchange (shipped today), and will be selling some of the packs out of the box. Before I list them on ebay, I thought I'd give the board members a crack. If anybody's interested, I'm selling them to forum posters at $125 plus $3 shipping (They'll be $135 on ebay). It's a pretty fun set, with RCs of Fouts, Swann, Theismann, Bleier, Drew Pearson, and tons of superstars (Bradshaw, Staubach, etc...), and you get 42 cards per pack.

As many of you know, case-fresh racks are your best shot at pulling PSA 10's and 9's. To give you an idea, softparade and I went into partners on a 1978 Topps BB rack case (He took 2 boxes, I took one) and I averaged one PSA 10 and 7-8 PSA 9's per rack, and I believe softparade had similar results. The '75 FB set is 528 cards so your chance of pulling one of the big 3 RCs (Swann, Fouts, Theismann) is about 1 in 4.

Again, sorry if this is too spammy, but I thought pack-busters like myself might get a little thrill out of a case-fresh product from the mid 70s. PM me if interested.

  • I just received the '75 rack box today and I have to tell you, centering is better than I expected. I looked at a few racks at random and we're looking at 60/40 at worst on any one card showing. What I'm going to do to make it fair is open one rack and scan the best cards out of the group. That way, anybody buying them will know what condition to expect.

I'll get some scans up as soon as possible of the box, a few individual racks, and the cards I pull out of the rack I open. Please PM me if interested.

Here are two racks I pulled at random from the top of the box:

I opened one rack and these are the 12 best condition cards I pulled. I think all should be 9's, with a few having a shot at a 10:

But seriously, great looking cards image
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
