Dad, Im sick of being just the donut hole, I want to be a real donut
Not as long as you live under my roof son.
Can we all just admit what is going on here:
1) Andy Reid's finger is only getting fatter...soon they won't have a size 40 ring.
2) McNabb is a loser
3) You can pound more donuts when you don't have to be at 2 a days!

What respect I had for you just went down a notch. I think your clouded bandwagoning judgement got in the way.
Man up and regain what was lost.

Andy Reid is taking a leave of absence from his professional family to be with his first family. It's a rare move for the head coach of an NFL team. But I applaud his decision.
Reid needs to be a full-time husband and father right now because of a double crisis. His two oldest sons face serious legal problems stemming from separate incidents that happened on the same day.
Garrett Reid, 23, tested positive for heroin after causing a traffic accident, according to police. Prosecutors are looking into the case, and Garrett could be charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Britt Reid, 21, was arraigned on drug and weapons charges. He was accused of pointing a handgun at another driver following a dispute. He faces a felony charge of carrying a firearm without a license and several misdemeanor charges, including possession of a controlled substance.
Certainly, this is a critical time in the offseason. The Combine begins a week from tomorrow in Indianapolis. The free-agent market opens March 2. But no football decision Reid makes for the Eagles -- whether it's bringing back backup quarterback Jeff Garcia, signing another team's free agent or tweaking his draft board based on player interviews in Indy -- will be as important as the imminent ones facing him at home.
The Eagles won't disintegrate without Reid. The personnel department, led by general manger Tom Heckert, and the coaches have been preparing for the Combine and free agency for several weeks. Reid will be kept abreast of every development. And because he has the dual role of head coach and vice president of football operations, no key decision will be made without his approval.
The Eagles announced Reid would be gone from the team until mid-March. But if he needs more time, he should take it. Absolutely.
NFL coaches frequently work 70 to 80 hours per week, take only a few weeks off each year and see more of their assistants than they do of their spouses and children. It's impossible to strike the right balance between job and family -- and usually it's the personal life that suffers.
"This is not the fairest job in the world to your family," Colts coach Tony Dungy told Sports Illustrated after Indianapolis won Super Bowl 41 nine days ago -- 14 months after his son, James, had committed suicide at the age of 18.
What happened to Reid should be a wakeup call for all NFL coaches. They should pause and consider if they are giving their families the time and attention they need and deserve. If not, they should do something about it now -- before they find themselves facing crises of their own.

Im sorry but that is some funny sh$t!..
he kids are old enough to know right from wrong. they screwed up not there fathers fault. If i was andy i would take all there money away and make them work a real job for awhile!
My ex-neighbor at my first house was a hard worker and a good guy. For three years, he was always doing yardwork, bbq'in with friends and family, and everything a good neighbor does. It all changed one night. He met some broad at a bar, got wasted, and tried heroin for the first time ... bad move. He lost his house, his job, and ultimately his freedom. He got hooked on the stuff.
So who really knows how long this has been going on or if they were "spoiled" kids. The fact is these are his boys, and he is doing what he has to do.
Was she hot?? i hope so...
i understand what you say. andy is doing the right thing.

Interesting thing about addiction to narcotics - a number of unbiased studies have shown that gambling addiction is very similar as addiction to narcotics. That's not my opinion, that's fact based on solid scientific research which I haven't seen disputed by reputable doctors.
Next time any online poker players and sports bettors think it's not possible to ever be like a heroin junkie - think again.

Actually, one thing that most people don't know is that a surprisingly high % of heroin users are either recreational users or functional maintenance users. Sure, there are plenty of people who sleep in dumpsters, streetwalk, etc. in order to keep their horse habit fed, but it's not one of those drugs where if you shoot it 10 times you're life is doomed. When I ran a poker game in Denver we had all kinds of dealers who were maintenance H users, and I was happy to have them on staff. They were good dealers, friendly, talkitive-- but when their shift was over they went back to their apartment and got on the nod. And had been working this routine for 10-20 years.
Now meth is a whole different story. I've never heard of someone who just chipped speed on the weekends. But with most narcotics, including heroin, the functionality of the users is all over the spectrum.

"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

Very interesting. Wonder though what their liver and other internal organs look like? That certainly can't be a recipe for a long healthy lifespan.

it wasn't even a game. We blew San Fran away and shut down TO, then we blew the eagles away at their place and then
we blew out the Raiders...thats domination! Learn it!

They probably look very bad. Although William Burroughs lived into his late '70's, so who knows? Anyway, don't get me wrong-- a heroin habit is a terrible-- and expensive-- thing to carry around. My only point is that for some people--certainly not all-- is not a bad as one might initially think.

Nope...no more 62 yard field goals for Jonboy.
Gruden will be the first head coach fired in the 2007 NFL season.

Point understood but dealing poker 8-12 hours a day, going home to a dingy apartment to shootup, and basically walking around like a zombie is certainly no way to live a good life in my view. I have to imagine a fair amount of those poker "pros" are addicts on something as well. Negreanu sometimes appears like he's ready to takeoff - without an airplane.
I'm not sure what Keith Richards does these days, maybe he is clean I really don't know, but he would be another example of a heroin user who lived at least into his 60's. But look at Keith Richards physically - LOL, and as far as money for the "maintenance" unless someone is capable of writing and playing hit rock songs or making tons of money in some other way, then most likely a heroin user is doomed to a sorrowful life of being broke or destitute.
But like most harmful addictions, the addicts get caught up in the minute-to-minute, day-to-day thinking about it, and don't want to consider the long term ramifications. It's the old, "Well one more hit won't hurt me" type thinking...which is one reason why addictions can be so tough.
