    I just thought the story was funny.

    Besides, I don't hate Bonds. He plays for the Giants, so he'll always be one of my guys.

    Yea, Im not bashing anyone, it was a decent read. I happen to like Bonds as a player and I got to read all last season about how everyone wants him to get hurt ect.. ect.. pretty nasty stuff for a guy who plays baseball!! But in hindsight I know Bonds comes off as a jerk and all that and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I saw the thread and Im thinking to myself.."Starting already" !! So thats why I commented.

    I enjoyed the story, and I like Barry, and I hope he breaks the record and plays another season. I think it's hilarious how everyone expects professional athletes to be robots, to fit an acceptable "mold", and be gracious. Maybe Barry is constipated. He doesn't owe me anything--he is paid to do a job like everyone else.

    Getting tired of baseball fans bashing Barry would be like getting tired of birds for flying. It's part of nature, it's just gonna happen, as well it should! I'm not gonna rehash the same old arguements we've all heard a million times, but if ever a ball player deserved to get dumped on all the time, it's Mr. Bonds!

    I am so excited about Barry breaking Aaron's record. Who cares if he cheated or not.. Records were meant to be broken and no one is more deserving than Bonds. For all that he's been through his entire career and life. He struggled financially, emotionally, and physically ever since the day he was born.

    The most humble guy is so misunderstood and deserves everyone's respect, regardless of what he may have said or done in the past. It doesn't matter because every day is a new day; forgive and forget forever and ever.

    He is a first ballot HOFer and without question, one of the greatest, if not THE GREATEST, players... Nay... athletes... Nah.. people of all time.
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    Yes you are correct. I could care less about anyone hating Bonds, I truly see everyones point about him cheating and all that, but enough of the rhetoric about it! If you were posting the last couple of years you would see what I meen. It gets to the level of wishing he would die? like Smith just did?...It might have been a pointless comment but it was ignorant and thats my beef. I will leave it at that, I expect 80's guy to respond as he should to my comments and thats fine, I said my peace and will end it with that.
