Other than Topps, what manufacturers issue full sets

that I can buy off the shelf that inlcude common players?

In years to come, I'd love to look back at those players that were the best to make it in the majors, but forgotten by most fans and overshadowed by the "best of the best".

So, if I went to a card store and said, "I pay you $x for that 2006, 2007, etc. factory sealed set.", what are my options other than Topps?

This is for Baseball, BTW.

Thanks

There is a 2006 Fleer Factory set that can be picked up off ebay for ~$15.

It has 400 cards plus 30 update cards. Looks like a nice clean basic design as well.

Really?? And I thought other than Topps, you're SOL nowadays on factory sets. For those of you who don't know, most companies did away with factory sets starting in 1993 (with Topps and Upper Deck being the only holdouts) because collectors were getting frustrated with all that extra product dumped on them at the end of the year with those factory sets. By not having factory sets, it was believed, it would help curb overproduction, which as you all know was a big problem in the early 1990s. But starting in the mid 1990s, the main problem was not too much product, but too many products. Which of course remains a problem to this day, although the fact we're back down to two companies again (Topps and Upper Deck) helps considerably. Now if they hadn't overdid the memrobilia patch cards and 1/1's and turned most of them into a joke...

Bought a set of those just to satisfy my curiosity about modern cards
Some are OK but some are action shots where you can't tell who it is etc

Looked at them for a couple of days then gave them to the 11 year old kid next door
