A taste of Egypt

My latest collecting interest has been selective choices in all three metals, from the Egyptian Ottoman era, and notably the periods:
AH 1255, AH1277, AH1293 and AH1327 (the dating corresponds to the 4 different rulers of the time, similar to the Japanese system).
Egyptian coins have always had a following in Greece due to the once large and prospering Greek community of Alexandria that was abruptly ousted after Nasser's arrival.
My grand grandfather (grandmother's father) was living in Alexandria at the time that some of these coins were minted.
Here are some of the coins that were purchased over the past 6 months, I hope that you'll enjoy them as much as I do.
First, 2 silver coins, a 2 quirsh from 1900 (Abdul Hamid II, AH1293 year 24) and a one quirsh from 1844 (Abdul Meijid, AH1255 year 6).
Note how much simpler and more austere the design of the earlier coin is:

Now 3 gold coins from the Abdul Aziz period (AH1277), that were purchased from NEN.
I believe that these coins are some of the best Darkside bargains around, Krause has most of these coins imaged with a hole for a reason.
AH1277 yr 12, 5 quirsh gold, NGC MS65

AH1277 yr 10, 10 quirsh gold, NGC MS65

AH1277 yr 8, 25 quirsh gold, NGC MS64

I would have liked to post some nice red copper, but none of my three 1864 one year type 4 para coins have been properly imaged yet.
edited to add it anyway, this one is the best of the three in a special custom made holder:
Abdul Aziz, AH1277 year 4 (I also have a superb Turkish copper coin from that same year,
but generally ,the Egyptian issues of the period are far rarer and more expensive than their equally beautiful Turkish contemporary examples)

Finally, here is the crown jewel of my small Egyptian collection, a 1911H 20 piastres,(KM310) ,very rare like this, purchased from Louis Teller in NY.
Superb luster ,attractive light russet toning on both sides, excellent strike and detail, make for a very eye appealing true gem, far rarer than the very few prooflike specimens of this issue.
It's only a low resolution scan that doesn't make the coin justice at all, but it's all I've got for the moment.

Zar's Ebay
A lot its coins are scarce and/ or scarce in high grade. I don't know about
the gold but some of that silver and the copper I've not seen.
8 Reales Madness Collection
I've always considered adding a Egyptian Ottoman era Quirsh gold to my collection, but just haven't done so yet. The design is so simple yet elegant with its script, but similar to Indian coins the design has to grow on you for true appreciation.

U.S. Revenue Stamps
And I bet that you imply that it needs better imaging. OK, I got it, I'll add it too.
Thanks for the nice comments.
