Need explanation of POP report

What does "use varieties" mean in the POP report?

I received back a 1970 Topps football #260 Calvin Hill (name in black) in PSA 9. The POP report shows that there are no others with that grade for that variation. Below though it has another line for that card that says "use varieties". What does this mean? Are there other PSA9's of this card I received?

Thanks ahead of time.

  • On another note, I received 2 cards back that were not ecapsulated. "Miscut" is the reason given. One card appears to be a shade large but the other seems perfectly sized. Any idea what this means?

It means PSA was being too picky. I would be willing to bet the card that is perfectly sized gets graded upon resubmission.

  • Probably right about resubmitting it. It was in a group of 200 so the person probably got tired.

  • On my other issue, I find that PSA has the phrase "use varieties" on only 3 POP reports. They give no explanation what it means at all.

What am I to believe? Is this a 1/1?
