That brings me to another question: Is there a market in darkside error coins as there is in light

I think I have three darkside error coins, one has some major die cracks, the second is struck off centered (A weavy coin that the waves don't line up, from Iraq) and the third is Marty's weenie
I think there might be a few more in the pile somewhere.
Just wanted to see if there was a market much like the lightsiders... BTW I'm not selling
Thanks,
Ray

And Darkside errors are a crossover point in the market, too. A lot of Liteside folks who wouldn't otherwise mess with Darkside coins do buy Darkside errors. At least the more dramatic ones like off-centers and major clips.
This attitude, I suspect, stems from the fact that many collectors over there are into ancient and/or mediaeval hammered, and errors are much more common in those series - in many cases, errors are the rule rather than the exception, and perfect, error-free coins can command quite a premium. You'd need a pretty spectacular error (like, say, spelling the emperor's name wrong) to counteract this trend.

Apparently I have been awarded one DPOTD.
