Anyone here bought from Naxcom?

How does it work? I can't find any info on the seller. I've never done it before but I'm tempted. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Arthur

  • I have purchased from Naxcom and have enjoyed much success. Most of the stuff I purchased was lower priced singles, but have purchased some vintage with no problems. The one problem I did have (seller did not ship) Naxcom refunded my account within a couple of days after I filed a claim. I think it is a nice alternative to eBay - look for the free shipping deals. Hope that helps a bit.
  • To find seller info click on listing then on seller info which is to the right of the price. Just has link to their listings and if any recent problems. I have done it for years. I like it.

I bought a card and in seller notes was a Free card that I wanted. The card for sale was a Randy Johnson 89 Fleer corrected. The free card was a Johnson Whiteout over Marlboro Ad he said he pulled from a factory set (scanner broke story too.) Well, that card was fake so it was a scam. Naxcom at first said, well it was free so... I said ok, Im listing in my notes a free 52 Mantle with every purchase...I got my $25 back.

  • I have bought three 33 Goudey's from Naxcon and it was a great experience. I loved the flat fees for shipping and the buyer does not get paid till you are satified. It makes fakes and miss informed listings from being buyers loss.

I just made my first naxcom purchase a couple weeks ago. It was for about 20 donruss classics inserts and it went very smoothly.

I've bought and sold on it. Customer service has been very helpful the times I had problems.

You can buy on Naxcom with confidence. I have had more than a couple
    of reversals (of funds) done.

  • i feel safer buying from naxcom, prices are way higher but the sellers are 100x better.
  • I have bought and sold; most time of the ok, when selling, Ship with DC. I have had to refund money when seller claims item was never received.

  • I just joined based on all the opinions, but I've gotta agree with Cravetopps - the layout sucks, and the searches don't seem to go very smooth.

Agreed about the layout not being the best, but I have purchased several items from there with no problems.

I always used Naxcom as a resource for cards but now I think of buying and selling cards through them instead of eBay. Is it true there are NO seller fees? Can I use paypal? Also, is there buyer protection?

Anyone on these boards sell at that site?

eBay is all fees now =(.

The layout is good if you know the specific card you're trying to buy, but if you're looking for a bunch out of a set or a handful for a particular player, it can get very tedious. Sellers seem to be reputable in my experience.

  • Yes it is true, there are no listing fees and takes all of about 30 seconds to list your item. I have just started selling on Naxcom and I am seriously thinking about selling all my cards on there. Here is the most recent transaction details. It has been mentioned before, but I would recommend shipping all cards over $10.00 with DC.

    Buyer/Transaction Info
Shopping Cart Invoice Sub Total: $3.75
    Shipping: $2.00

    1. Sellers pay fees, buyers do not. On my last $19 sale $2.20 fee plus .92 Paypal/C.C fee.

**Im kinda burnt as I get charged a extra fee because the buyer uses a credit card/Paypal. I once asked buyer how he paid and he said he had $$ in his acct. from selling. No credit card or Paypal. I emailed Naxcom and never was answered and I forgot about it. Hmm.

    2. Yes you can transfer money from Paypal to your Naxcom acct.

    3. Yes buyer protection is on all transactions. The seller doesnt get paid until 12 days. You will need to report the problem within that time frame.

    4. If your gonna sign up, find a existing user, use their email or acct. # and they get a bonus of $5 when you make your first $20 in purchases. (I think its $20) plus theres other incentives.

  • I've been selling on naxcom for a couple years now. I almost prefer it to ebay anymore. I sell almost as much on naxcom as i do on my ebay store . plus ebay store 17 a month ebay vip store 6 a month .

yes naxcom has a fee and paypal fee but ebay also has fees and if you accept paypal theres that fee anyway. bottom line the fees on naxcom are better then the fees on ebay. But with naxcom you have to be willing to be patient and sit on some items . Buyers will come around. If you need to sell it right now stick with ebay.

I've bought and sold on Naxcom with no problems. Their user interface, though, is very cumbersome, and it's a pain to do the searches I want. They really should invest some money in a user interface expert; I think it would make a huge difference in their sales.
