Arroyo signs two year extension

I'm glad to hear this: Two years (through 2010) with the Reds for about $12.5 million/year. The Red Sox hosed him, Sox fans still love him, and he deserves the best. I hope he has continued success with the Reds.

    I agree, I too wish him the best. Are the Reds going to bat him 3rd as well? Loved watching him hit those dingers last year.

    I was fortunate enough to meet Arroyo at the Hall of Fame game in Cooperstown a couple of years back. He was a real nice guy with a great sense of humor. I was glad to see him succeed after the trade. I was really surprised when Boston traded good pitching like that.

    At the time, they mistakently thought they had enough good pitching. You NEVER have enough good pitching!! Giving away Cley Meredith to SD was another smooth move! image
