Another newbie!!

Hi everyone! I have finally decided to register on the message boards after reading the various threads and posts for quite some time. As a buyer and seller of vintage cards,I have always considered myself fairly knowledgable when it comes to cards. But I have learned a ton about this great hobby from a lot of you guys(and gals) on this board!! I buy and sell mostly vintage baseball now, although my specialty has always been hockey cards. I am in the process of putting together a 1962-63 Parkhurst set in 7 NM shape for my own personal collection. I had to break down and register to this forum, especially since none of my friends share my passion for those precious trinkets of cardboard that we all love so much! Anyway,I look forward to posting a great deal on this board! Thanks for reading!!

whether sports card collecting or other hobbies
It really helps kindle the interest and makes for enjoyable hours spent reading about the various areas of expertise of the members

occasional sparring, and sometimes real boxing matches on the threads, but lately, mostly fun and yes, fantastic knowledge for me!
P.S. These are the old PSA holders (yikes!), and the newer slabs for these smaller tobbaco cards? ...the cards fit just great!
What the heck! Just a heads-up! Here's an example of the newer PSA holder for these smaller cards:

Quicksilver Messenger Service - The Hat (Live) 1971
Uncbob I just checked out your 51 Bowmans and all I can say is WOW!
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
