The money you could make if you sold your entire collection....

Do you ever wonder how much money you could make if you sold your entire collection? My friends always poke fun at me saying that if I sold all my game used I could get thousands, which is true. They don't get why I would want to collect equipment that is used by sweaty old men (as they say). I'm searching for my first car at the moment and it sucks knowing that I don't have a dime saved, yet if I sold everything in my room I could get a hell of a nice car. It's too hard though to even think about selling my collection though, I love all my stuff! Anybody else feel this way and ever think about selling their entire collection?

Not to burst your bubble Kyle, but you may have your hopes set high. Collect for fun and pleasure, not for a long term investment. Keep your cards and save some $$ for your car. JMO.

I bet they wouldn't think twice about collecting stuff if it's from a former President. image

Anyway, I know for a fact that it would not be a good idea to sell my entire collection. In fact, I once had a 1976-79 Topps run that I sold a few years back to help repay my student loan, and now I'm trying to get those back, but that's okay! I'll this time get those sets even better than before! image

I have no idea how much money I could make nor do I even care.

My '55 set is "worth" the world to me and I don't know how you can put a price tag on that image
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Very nice stuff on your website Kyle.

I grew up in LA and cars were KING. I thus stopped collecting when I was 15 so I could focus on getting a car which of course led to many other good memories! Back in cards now that I can afford it.

I say slow down your buying of collectibles, save some money and buy a sweet ride!
