My New Favorite Player - Tyrus Thomas

I'm sure at least one member of this Board has read about the recent comments made by Tyrus Thomas. If not, Tyrus Thomas is a Chicago Bulls rookie and on being informed that he was invited to participate in the slam dunk contest commented that he was "just going to go out there, get my check and call it a day." When given the opportunity to recant his statement and was advised that he may learn a thing or two from Jordan, Dr. J, etc., he held firm and stated "I'm just into the free money. I'll just do whatever when I get out there."
So what happens? The Bulls reward his honesty with a $10,000.00 fine and is told, uh I mean requested, to make a new statement: "The opportunity to represent the Bulls and the city of Chicago on a global stage is a privilege that I do not take lightly. I regret the extent to which my comments indicate otherwise."
Gee. A guy speaks his mind and gets punished. I hope Tyrus Thomas wins the contest, collects his paycheck and walks off the court without even accepting his trophy.
