New Registry set coins on the way

I just received the grades for my 11 coin submission. Results for modern is a lot faster than in the past. Received on the 1/22/07 posted today 2/7/07. So not counting the day they received, or posted, you come out with 11 working days. image

As for the grades, some were right on as expected. Then some I am very very disappointed in.

The good:
69-D 67FB a top pop coin. 3/0 before this one.
91-D 67N/B a tough top pop 17/0 with only 1 65FB ever made.
05-D 67FB a top pop, 2/0
06-P 67FB a top pop, 1/0 top pop but not for long I'm sure.

The bad:
The remaining 7 coins image

The ugly:
Three coins cracked out that didn't come back as expected.
They either lost grade, bands, or both.

These coins will go back under another service tier, economy or regular, THEY are that GOOD. image

Well, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who disagrees with some of the dimes that come back.

Nice 91-D you're getting back though image

Sometimes I wonder if the machine that makes the blanks gets worn, and the planchets come through just a micro thinner than some years, and they won't get a full strike out of them.

I am happy with the submission, the 69-D alone makes it a super sub. The 05/06 67FB's are just iceing. As for the others, well we all know we don't get everything we want everytime. image

Looks like you got a few great grades there that will upgrade your set nicely.

Too bad about the other coins though.

Ya Nick he had to call me last night BRAGGING about this fine score of his, while my 3 lowly dimes are still at the graders waiting and waiting on their correct holders.

    Way to go Danny!

    Later, Paul.

BRAGGING??? I like to think of it as informing a friend and fellow collector about the upcoming change in the pop report. imageimage
