How do I get an appraisal of?

Hi everyone, I am new to this so sorry if I am not up on all the lingo or what not.

I am trying to figure out the quality or condition of my Micheal Jordan rookie card so I can get a fair price for it. I know there is a BCG rating or something like that, does anyone know how to, or where I can have someone appraise my card, not only for value but for condition as well?

how long have you had the jordan rookie card? there are numerous counterfeits in the market.

Like someone already said, post a good scan here and you'll get plenty of opinions. Psa grades cards on 1-10 scale where 10 is the best grade (gem mint), 9 is the next best (mint) and so on. BGS grades on a scale of 1-10 with ".5" grades. So their top grade is 10, then 9.5, 9, 8.5, and so on. But post a scan of the card here (preferably both front and back of the card) and you'll probably get a whole bunch of card collectors offering thier best advice on the card's grade.

Once you post some pics and the guys here look it over, if they say it's worth grading you can send it to PSA for grading thru a dealer near you, or one of the other good grading companies. For you to send it to PSA yourself you would have to become a member, costs about $100. Maybe one of the bigger submitters here could send it in too, but thru a local dealer might be your best option.

Without it being graded it's very hard to sell it. Too many fakes out there as David said earlier.
