I lost track of him this past season, did he play at all for the Chiefs or is his NFL career over?

No official announcement but he's done. I don't think he's even been sighted in KC for over a year. I have heard occasional reports that he plans to try to play next year, but he's all but vanished from the area.
(isnt that what all ex-players do?)

It does seem that way and the networks get the idea that "well, since they played the game they
should be good at commenting on it" but Michael Irvin, Joe Montana etc. have proved that theory wrong.

I know alot of people dont like Irvin but if he was as bad as evryone thinks he is, he would have been gone already.

Not unless he sold some crack and hookers to one of the higher ups.

<< <i>Irvin is a train wreck, but sometimes its fun to watch. Plus you can watch him just for the zoot suits and wacky ties lol. >>
Me and my wife always get a laugh out of his suits as well

Not necessarily, there are many incompetent people in various jobs that nearly everyone but management can see
are not good at what they do. Firing someone high profile also reflects on the higher ups as well and often times they
hate admitting a mistake in hiring them.
