23k Gold Star Wars Commemorative Stamp

Anyone have any information on this 23k gold star wars commem stamp, it also has a silver stamp and both are in a bifold holder with "official first day of issue" label. I dont have it in my possesion ATM as it belongs to my grandfather but im pretty sure it has a low issue number and has never been out of the holder. Any info that you guys and gals can give me would be greatly appreciated. I will try to get a picture of it in the next few days if any of you think that it is necessary. Thanks.

Most of these types of "stamps" are not worth much and not listed in the Scott catalogs. Do you know what country it is from? A Star Wars collector will probably pay more than a stamp collector.
  • Sounds cool . I would like to see that pic when you can.
  • These were not made by the US Government and as such are merely made for collectors to collect and save by a private company(maybe the so-called Franklin Mint?) They are neat but have very little value. Check on ebay and you will see tons of these.
