Yep, he's a good one. But I really hate how he doesn't comment on condition since his scans are so mediocre. And I wouldn't expect to get any steals out of his stock, seems too many people follow his listings.

they were one of the first people I ever bought from, nice WYSIWYG for the most part. thin descriptions, good service. and HIGHLY visible for whatever reason, impossible to get a steal image

    Here's a coin I got from him:

    Germany, Baden - 1 kreuzer, 1852
Baden is one of my focus areas. I love this coin, though for the kreuzers this one isn't too difficult anymore -- I think a hoard was found recently. I'm kicking myself for letting a nice 1865 1kr in MS64 slip by me the other day!

My pic (sadly I think his may be better on this one!):

I put in an impulse bid on one of his auctions last night, and won this one: "Kingdom of Sweden Beautiful Toned One Year Type 1897 EB 2 Kronor Silver Jubilee Coin (Km#762)"

looks like a good sized coin, one i really know nothing about. we'll see how it looks in person

Nice half-dollar sized hunk of Swedish silver! One of the more common of the commemorative 2KR coins on eBay along with the Delaware, Gustaf II and Political Liberty coins. I enjoy collecting this series. image

He seemed to have a bunch of mediocre Polish coins that sold for way too much a few months back image

Never heard of him. Judging from the looks of what Spoon and Doogy bought, though, I can see why he might have a following.

  • I bought this quite cheaply a few months ago. No problems with transatlantic shipping, I don't know if that will apply to you.

I think that the major problem with them is their lack of a return policy. It's been a long time since I bought an AT coin and had to flip it at a loss. I'm not part of their following since.

His pictures don't usually inspire confidence.

Now I found a new reason to never bid again at their auctions:

fake gold 20 drs and a very bad one too

    From the (revised) description:

    Kingdom of Greece ~ King George I ~ 1884 A 20 Drachmai Gold Coin ~ 6.4516 g. 0.9000 Gold .1867 oz. AGW ~ CORRECT WEIGHT AND PROPER DIAGNOSTICS (Km#56)

Correct weight means nothing, this coin regularly sells for three times its BV:

I'm sure theirs is fake, because one side is bigger than the otherimage3Mark

Larry, that's an excellent point, I'll put it on top of my list, because I didn't know where to begin. image
